A full day of activities in Chapel Hill, NC
1. Visit the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Spend a few hours wandering the first public university in the nation! With its gorgeous campus and many secret spots, you will without a doubt have your jaw dropped on the tour. Make sure to take a sip from the Old Well, step inside the Wilson Library, and take a photo by the famous Bell Tower at UNC. There is also a Botanical Garden and Art Museum on campus. There are many places to park for visitors and their website mentions all the different places.

2. Walk around Franklin Street
There are a plethora of local, small businesses on Franklin Street that are extremely well known among locals. There are food, coffee shops, and local boutique stores to support. You are guaranteed to find students together either studying or enjoying a break from their studies. Parking can be somewhat challenging, so be prepared to walk!
3. Grab a Burger from Al’s Burger Shack
There are tons of restaurants on Franklin Street, however, the one that has stood out to me the most is Al’s Burger Shack. They are consistent each time and the prices for the quality can not be beaten! They also have vegetarian options for individuals who do not eat meat. However, my personal favorite burger is called “Sean’s Bacon Cheeseburger” and I like to pair it with a vanilla milkshake. Their ice cream comes from a local farm called Maple View Farms, and the quality is phenomenal.

Play a round of golf at the UNC Finley Golf Course, located a few minutes away from the campus. A bonus is if you are a student, staff, or alumni, you get a slight discount to play! Otherwise, rates vary between forty and seventy dollars, depending on what time you are playing.
